Clients, colleagues, employees, friends, and family:

This month Cazarin Interactive celebrates its 15th anniversary. It’s hard to believe that the thriving business I own today is the same one I started on April Fool’s Day in 1998 in the basement of my Maple Grove home with one programmer (who is still with Cazarin today!) and one designer. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to be sure it’s real.

As I reflect on these 15 years, I keep coming back to three core values that have served me and the company so well from the beginning: partnership, trust, and relationships. Allow me a couple of sentences on each:

Our mission is to become an extension of your business’ marketing department—the very definition of partnership. In our 15 years we’ve partnered with more than 500 businesses. And because of our reputation for excellent partnership—which we owe to those first 500 clients, we’ll probably hit our second 500 in less than a decade. Wow!

We’ve always said we want to take care of all your marketing needs so that you are free to focus on doing what you do best: running your business. I am humbled by all of the individuals and businesses that trusted us enough to let us into their companies and to manage their marketing.

From the very beginning, I felt that a critical component of success in this industry (and most industries for that matter) was relationship-building. After all, we can’t consistently exceed expectations if we don’t know your expectations—and we can learn those expectations best by really getting to know you and your company. That’s why we’ve always said that we build relationships first and then we build websites.

I told my staff this week that I’m truly looking forward to 15 more years. I’ve got a great team in place and we have many new customers in the door. The only obstacles we face are those we create ourselves, which is why we’ll always value partnership, we’ll never stop building trust, and we’ll forever adhere to our business model of building relationships before websites.

Thank you so much for the role (however big or small) you’ve played in our success. We know Cazarin wouldn’t be thriving without you!
