There are 14 guidelines that will ensure accessibility of content by people with disabilities. Designers and programmers must be aware of all technical issues that are easily overlooked and not planned for. For example, Guideline 1 specifies that there should be a text equivalent for all audio/visual content. This is one of the points that the designers need to be aware when they design the site and placement of the content. Also in Guideline 13 checkpoint 13.1 specifies that the page links need to clearly specify where there are pointing (rather than “click here”)
