Situation

 

ABC Companies is a large dealer of new and used buses and motorcoaches, including Van Hool brand buses, midsized buses and transit buses.  They also offer parts and services on these products.  Headquarted in Faribault , Minnesota, they also have locations in California, New Jersey, Florida and Texas.  When the Marketing Manager at ABC Companies decided they needed to update their image and website, they interviewed several companies before deciding to work with Cazarin Web Group because of the full-service capabilities they could offer.  In addition to website design and development, Cazarin Web Group could offer ABC Companies the search engine optimization, email campaigns and responsive marketing they wanted. 

 

Research

 

Cazarin Web Group began the process with a needs analysis.  The information collected during this process would become the basis for the information architecture of the website and provided Cazarin Web Group with the background research needed to continue the process.  After getting approval from the executive committee at ABC Companies, Cazarin moved onto the planning step.

 

Planning

 

A sophisticated website began to take shape.  Cazarin Web Group wanted the website to represent a national company with five major locations, located all around the country.  While developing the main ABC Companies website, another complex section, made specifically for managing the entire company’s inventory, was being developed at the same time. 

 

Execution

 

Cazarin Web Group created the main website for ABC Companies that united the national company as a whole, while representing each individual location as well.  The second database section enabled the company’s inventory to link to Cazarin Web Group’s server and database so that images and the inventory for each location are updated daily.  

 

Evaluation

 

The main website was an attractive and easy-to-use central location for customers to visit and employees to use.  The inventory website made the large number of products and parts much easier to manage, update, promote and sell on the website.  ABC Companies was happy with the project and has continued
